Non-residents can borrow as much as 80% of the "value" of the property (70% is more typical) which could mean a mortgage of 100% or more of the purchase price if you are lucky enough to find a bargain!

Residents can borrow up to 95% of the value of the property.

It is now possible to repay a Spanish mortgage over 35 years or up to age 75 whichever comes sooner. Minimum terms are 10 years and the minimum mortgage amount is usually 50,000€.
